NSD RAK!

NSD RAK............lots of initials there and just in case you are not a scrapbooker or crafter it means National Scrapbook Day (tomorrow May 2nd) and Random Act of Kindness also known as a giveaway or Blog candy. We do not have a local scrapbook store so there is nuthing going on in Stevens Point but there are quite a few virtual online crops that I might partake in tomorrow.

So in honor of this I am giving away a dozen packages of embellishments (a mix of flowers and raindots etc). Adding these to your cards or pages can turn them from ordinary into amazing.

I like that the Heidi Grace flowers come with matching brads too! Oh there are 2 packages of the metal shapes & words also. So to win just leave a comment and tell me about your best mothers day gift that you either got or have given to your own mom! I used to love when my sons were small and made me precious cards with their crayons and picked me dandelions off our lawn. Now they are all in their 20's and I'm lucky if they take the time to pick up the phone just to call. So share your good memories and I will draw on Sunday night so you will have them before Mother's Day in case you need them to make that special card!

Hi Louise! My best Mother's Day gift was a dandelion necklace made by my daughter. She was about 6 years old. She is now 15 so, I don't get those anymore :-(. Boy did I sneeze for a few hours!

Thanks,

Well, we don't have children and my mother has been gone a few years so I'll share what I sent my MIL last year. She was complaining that she didn't have a recent picture of her son & I--just from out wedding 19 years ago, LOL!
I made her a sort of embellished photo cube from a chipboard box. Three sides had a recent picture of her son and the fourth was one of us together. Embellished with butterflies, flowers, and a big chipboard monogram.
Generous RAK, Louise. Thanks for the chance, Lesa #5200

Louise you are such a sweetheart always giving away. I think the most favorite mothers day gift I ever gave my mother was when my daughter was very young we went and had professional photos taken together with my sister. So we gave my mother photos of ALL her girls as a gift. We really NEED to do this again soon!!

Hmm...I'm not a mom so I don't think I've ever received a gift for mothers' day. Ungrateful little dogs I have, huh? ;)

Hi Louise - This year for Mother's day, I'm asking for my boys to come and scrapbook/make cards with me. I'm sure it will be one of the most memorable days! (and hopefully helps remind them that the time they spend is more valuable than any gift they spend $ on!)

My mom loved yellow roses, so that was one of her favortes to receive. Thanks for the contest!

My very first Mother's Day was when Caleb was ten months old. He had started walking a few weeks earlier and on Mother's Day, he RAN to me and gave me a hug.
And then later in the day he started saying "NO!" which was his first word so it was really special.. even though he was being defiant, LOL :)

What a great RAK, thanks for the change.
My mom just loves her garden, so for a few Mother's days we (my sisters and I) got her some cute garden statues. She loves those things and I don't think we could give her a better gift.

The mother's day gift was when my daughter was about 5 and she proudly gave me "presents" toys that she had wrapped from her toy box! it was the sweetest thing.

Yummalicious blog candy! The best Mother's day gift was to celebrate with my Mom and Grandma together...we went out for lunch and than came home for dessert. Really difficult to get together as we're spread across the country.
Cheers.

My best memory was when all 3 of my kids were home with their families on Mother's Day. Usually they visit in the summer time so it was a special day and then they had a picture taken together and gave it to me next time they visited.

My child is a canine, so he needs a little help making his Mother's Day cards. One year my husband made a special card, with the dog's picture on it, and his pawprints!

One of my best was the year I had my first baby, my daughter Chloe. I had her the week before Mothers Day, brought her home the day before MD and my sister brought me over a card and little plaque for my 1st Mothers day..it was so sweet and I couldn't believe I was a Mother!

And today is that babys 13th Birthday! Can't believe it!

i love coming up with unique cards to give to mom on Mother's day. One year I made a shadowbox with a poem in it and it's wonderful to go visit her and see it hanging in her bedroom.

My best Mother's Day gift would have to be the year DS made me breakfast in bed. He was about 7 or 8, he decided to make me cereal & toast. Of course he pour the milk over the cereal first & let it sit while he made the toast. Needless to say the cereal was disgustingly soggy but since it was made with love, I ate it. lol Thanks for the chance to win.
